A Wonderful Day at EDABL Seafront Sunday

Last week, we were delighted to take part in the EDABL (Eat, Drink and Be Local) Seafront Sunday event, and what a fantastic day it was!

Our team had a wonderful time setting up our stall, meeting members of the community, and sharing more about the work we do to support people facing barriers to employment. Events like these provide a great opportunity to connect with local people, raise awareness of our programmes, and showcase the incredible skills and achievements of our trainees and volunteers.

We were proud to display and sell a selection of creative furniture pieces that had been painted, sanded, restored, and transformed by our workshop team and trainees. It was great to see so much interest in their hard work and craftsmanship. We also sold a bicycle that had been carefully repaired and refurbished by one of our dedicated bike mechanic volunteers, highlighting the valuable skills being developed through our projects.

Most importantly, it was wonderful to meet so many people throughout the day. Whether you stopped by for a chat, learned more about our services, or supported us with a purchase, thank you for taking the time to visit our stall. Your support means so much to us.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all of the volunteers who gave up their time to help on the day. Their enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication helped make the event such a success. We simply couldn't have done it without them.

Overall, we had an amazing time at Seafront Sunday and are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and support from the community. We can't wait to take part in more public events in the future and continue sharing the difference our organisation makes in helping people build confidence, develop skills, and overcome barriers to work.
