Well, hello there, everyone! This week, from June 2nd to June 8th, is Volunteers' Week, and we just couldn't let it pass without giving the biggest, warmest shout-out to the absolute heart and soul of our charity: our truly amazing volunteers!
Here in Guernsey, we are incredibly fortunate to have such a generous and dedicated community, and our volunteers truly embody that spirit. Whether it's sorting donations, helping at events, filling our shop with great stock, or supporting us behind the scenes, every single hour given makes a tangible difference.

That lovely picture above offers a glimpse into how our volunteers engage. From friendly faces welcoming everyone to meticulous sorting that keeps our shop great, to hands-on work that brings everything to life – your commitment inspires us daily.
Volunteers' Week is a national celebration, and it's a fantastic opportunity to recognise the invaluable contribution that volunteers make to communities across the UK and right here in the Bailiwick. We believe in the power of giving back, and our volunteers demonstrate this every single day.
To everyone who has volunteered with us this year – whether for an hour, a day, or consistently throughout the year – THANK YOU! Your dedication allows us to continue our vital work and support those who need it most in Guernsey.
Volunteers Week: The Essence of Volunteers
So, to absolutely everyone who's volunteered with us this year – whether it was just for an hour, a day, or if you're one of our brilliant regulars – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Your dedication means the world to us and allows us to keep doing the vital work that supports those who need it most here in Guernsey.
If you've ever had a little whisper in your ear about volunteering, this week is such a lovely reminder of just how rewarding it is and the wonderful impact you can have. We're always thrilled to chat with enthusiastic individuals who are interested in joining our team and helping us make an even bigger difference.
